The Theater Program introduces Middle and Upper School students to the art and discipline of the stage as a means of individual and collaborative expression. Students learn industry-standard tools, techniques and processes, and they explore different styles of theatrical production in an exciting and safe environment. Faculty members seek to inspire greater empathy and broaden each student's perspective through the exploration of characters and concepts that expand our horizons and challenge our preconceptions.

Class offerings include acting, directing, stagecraft, public speaking, theater design, stage productions and filmmaking. Extracurricular opportunities include the Close Theatre Company, a coordinate program with St. Albans School, which produces two Middle School and three Upper School shows each year, including classics, modern plays, and musicals.
