Edward “Ed” Arthur Curran, NCS head of school from 1968 to 1980, passed away on May 15, 2022, at the age of 88. He led NCS through a period of broad transformation for both the school and the nation.
Amanda Williams ’92, MD, MPH, is a physician, clinical innovator, OBGYN, and women’s health advocate. At Reunion weekend this past spring, Williams received NCS’s Outstanding Professional Achievement Award.
Protecting the environment has long been a priority at NCS. In addition to the long-standing environmental science course offered in the Upper School, the important themes of conserving resources and minimizing waste have run through campus life at every grade level as far back as current faculty and students remember.
