The process of applying to independent schools can be exciting, confusing, fun, challenging, time-consuming, and, we hope, satisfying. In order to create the most transparent process, we ask that you register in our admission portal
. Once logged in, you can "explore" NCS or begin an application, and you will find a checklist of the steps required to complete the application and financial aid process. You can track the status of your application and register for NCS admission events. If you have any questions throughout this admission season and beyond, please contact our office
: All Lower School (4th-6th grade) applicants will need to attend our in-house assessment. The official standardized scores taken in-house at a student's current school must be sent to fulfill the assessment requirement for Middle School applicants (7th-8th grade). The ISEE
, or PSAT
are required assessments for Upper School applicants (9th-12th grade).
The admission committee considers each applicant as a scholar and as a person. We look for a strong academic fit between the student and the school, as well as students who are excited to lean into their strengths while taking advantage of all of the opportunities at NCS.
Admission and financial aid applications are due Jan. 15, 2022. Admission and financial aid decisions will be posted at 4:00 pm on March 4, 2022.
