National Cathedral School won three awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education for work in 2014-2015.
National Cathedral School has been recognized for excellence in communications in 2014-2015, winning three awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
CASE's annual Accolades Awards honor quality, creativity, and innovation in communications produced by colleges, universities, and independent schools in Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Ontario, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia.
NCS won a Silver Award for the "We Believe In The Power Of Young Women" series of posters in Hearst Hall, designed by Mari Foret of Foret Design & Marketing and overseen by former director of communications Mary Jane McKinven; a Bronze Award for the NCS Magazine cover of Phoebe Hearst using an iPad, designed by Assistant Director of Communications Elizabeth Gray; and a Bronze Award for the admissions video "An Introduction to National Cathedral School," produced by Jessica Clancy of Truth in Motion Films and executive-produced by McKinven and Director of Admission and Financial Aid Wendy Wilkinson. The awards were presented Monday night at the CASE District II Annual Conference in Philadelphia.
NCS's three prizes, which equaled the total won by American University and Georgetown University, were the most for any independent school. The Accolade Awards are traditionally dominated by colleges and universities; only 10 of the 120 awards went to independent schools.
