Lester Qualifies for Foot Locker National Championship
Page Lester finished fifth at the Foot Locker Cross Country Northeast Regional race and advanced to race at Nationals in San Diego on Dec. 10.
Cathedral Cross Country standout, Page Lester ’18, has been dominating the local cross country scene this fall finishing first in her final three races including the ISL Championship, the DCSAA Championship and the MD/DC Private-Schools Championship.
Most recently, Lester finished fifth (18:05) in the Foot Locker Northeast Regional race held on Nov. 26 in Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. With this latest finish, Lester earned a trip across the country to compete in the Foot Locker National Championships on Dec. 10 in San Diego.
The top 10 boys and the top 10 girls in the seeded races qualify to compete against the top runners from the Midwest, South and West Regional meets in the National Finals at Morley Field, Balboa Park in San Diego.
Lester is the first athlete from National Cathedral to qualify for this national final.
