Opening Day Address Stresses NCS' Service Mission

NCS Head of School Kathleen O'Neill Jamieson welcomed new and returning students and their parents on the first day of school with an address focused on NCS' mission of service.  NCS Middle and Upper School students traditionally devote much of their first day of school to community service; this year students cleared invasive plants, packed up school supplies for a school in Haiti, and worked at facilities serving the homeless.  "NCS graduates have dedicated themselves to lives of service in every conceivable field," said Mrs. Jamieson.  "We know that the blessing of education is best matched by the conviction to put it to good use."  For the full text of her address, click here.
