Upper School Honors, Part Two

Students were recognized for academic achievement and service in the second of two awards assemblies.
In the second of  two awards assemblies, Upper School students were recognized for academic achievement and service as publications editors, members of the vestry and community service boards, and as peer mentors and peer leaders. The May 23 assembly was also an occasion to recognize Mireia Lozano-Carbassé, Class of 2011, of Spain, as the year’s ASSIST International Scholar.

National Merit Scholars
Seniors Summer Modelfino and Betsy Ray have been named National Merit Scholars, and awarded $2500 scholarships.

Fisher Award for Outstanding Contribution to the NCS Community
Established by the Fisher Family Foundation in 1999, the Fisher Award for Outstanding Contribution to the NCS Community is given to a community builder, a student who helps to foster interest and involvement in activities that bring people together, and who demonstrates a personal commitment to the larger community. This year’s recipient is junior Sivan Bruce.
