What is your favorite class and why?
My favorite class at NCS was World Geography in 10th grade. This was the most interesting class I’ve ever taken, as it allowed me to learn about a variety of regions. By combining history with current events, it increased my awareness about the world I live in. My teacher had a huge impact on my experience in the class, as she had so much knowledge that she was able to share.

Where is your favorite spot on the Close?
Although it's hard to choose, my favorite spot on the close would have to be the Upper School Art Room. Filled with light streaming in from massive windows lining the wall, the art room is a wonderful and inspiring place to be. Students are always busy making artwork, and the view of the cathedral is absolutely beautiful.

What is your favorite NCS tradition?
My favorite NCS tradition is Flag Day, a prize ceremony that takes place at the end of the school year, where students are awarded prizes for their accomplishments during the school year. The highest award that one can win is the flag, thus it is called Flag Day. All of the girls wear white dresses; the senior class wears long white dresses and carries bouquets of roses. Taking place on the lawn of the Cathedral, it is not to be missed.

What are your favorite extracurriculars to participate in at NCS?
My favorite extracurricular to participate in at NCS would be the Chorale. The NCS and St. Albans chorale work both separately and together to perform beautiful music throughout the year. Being a part of the Chorale has taught me a lot about music and has allowed me to become a better musician.

Why did you come to NCS?
I came to NCS because when I visited, I could see myself at the school. From the rigorous academic curriculum, to the highly praised music program, to the trophy-winning athletics, I saw myself as being able to fit in and thrive in all aspects of campus life.

Why did you decide to become a student ambassador?
I decided to become a student ambassador because I really love the school I go to and I want to share my love with any potential students so that they can see how important it is to find the right school for them.

What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy going for runs, walking my dog, and baking!

What is one piece of advice you would give to a new student at NCS?
Take advantage of everything NCS has to offer; make use of office hours to meet with your teachers or to complete homework, join one of the many clubs to either further your interest in something or to develop an interest in something new, practicing and training in a state of the art athletic center, of course singing in the Cathedral, and many more. NCS is a wonderful place, and taking advantage of what the school has to offer will help you to make the most of your time here!
