A Festival of Lessons and Carols: Dec. 17

National Cathedral School and St. Albans School will present a Festival of Lessons and Carols at 6:30 pm Thursday, Dec. 17, in the Washington National Cathedral.

This annual Christmas service is a highlight of both schools' academic year. More than 600 student musicians will offer a variety of carols, performed from all corners of the Cathedral. Introducing each carol will be a scripture lesson read by students, staff, faculty, and administrators. The Bishop of Washington, the Vicar of the Cathedral and our school chaplains will lead prayers.

The service, which will last approximately 90 minutes, is open to the public. Those attending this wonderful way to enjoy the Christmas season should plan to arrive early at the Cathedral, as a very large audience is anticipated.

For the second straight year, those unable to attend can watch the service online. To access the broadcast, visit the NCS homepage or our YouTube channel on the 17th.
