NCS Annual Fund Achievement

From Head of School Kathleen O'Neill Jamieson:

Dear NCS Parents, Alumnae, Faculty, Staff, and Friends,

I am delighted to share the news of NCS's successful 2018 Annual Fund. For the first time in our history, our devoted community has contributed more than $2 million to the Annual Fund! This is an extraordinary milestone and a remarkable achievement. The 2018 Annual Fund's final total of $2,070,149 surpassed the goal of $1,988,939. The fund's grand purpose is to support the essential ingredients for the education of our spectacular students. Thank you!

We are very grateful for this outpouring of support from parents, faculty/staff, alumnae, grandparents, and friends from across the decades. I think you will enjoy a few particulars of this year’s effort:
  • For the second straight year, every family from the Class of 2025 made a gift to the Annual Fund. Overall, participation by our generous parents was 85%. We are thrilled by this ambitious expression of connection with our school’s mission.
  • We also achieved 100% participation in the Annual Fund from faithful faculty and staff and from the equally committed NCS Governing Board.
  • The Class of 1978 led alumnae with 49% participation, while the newest alumnae, the Class of 2018, achieved 36% participation through the Eagle Challenge. Overall, nearly one in four alumnae supported the 2018 Annual Fund!
We would not have reached this milestone without the dedication of many volunteers, led by Parent Annual Fund Chairs Kitty and Ira Carnahan (Callie '18); Alumnae Annual Fund Chairs Hutchey Brock Doley '82 and Allison Butera Riepe '97; and Grandparent Chairs Jack and Marie Murphy (Abigail '22 and Charlotte '24). They have set a wonderful example of devoted volunteerism, and we look forward to their wise counsel and the engagement of new volunteers for 2018-2019.

This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate our shared commitment to generations of NCS students and graduates. Thank you for providing the occasion.
