3 NCS Athletes Win Regional Honors

Three NCS students have been recognized for their athletic accomplishments this fall with regional honors.
 
Lily Moore '21 was named for the second straight year to the Washington Post's All-Met second team in field hockey. She was one of only two Independent School League competitors named to the first or second team.
 
Anna Nielsen '20, in volleyball, and Sophia Hanway '21, in cross country, were chosen by the District of Columbia State Athletic Association for its All-State squads. This was Hanway's second selection for the All-State Team.
 
Nielsen, Hanway, and Moore were also among 10 Eagles who collected all-ISL honors this fall.
 
Sahara Horton '20 joined Nielsen on the volleyball list, Juliet Hurson '20 and Moore were field hockey honorees, and Sophia Charles '20 and Hanway were cross country selections. In tennis, Kate Nuechterlein '20 and Yvonne LopezDavila '21 were All-State picks, and Sophie Graf '21 and Emily Miller '21 were selected in soccer.
 
Congratulations to each of these athletes for their well-deserved honors.
