As most of NCS parents know, the Cathedral institutions have in place a coordinated crisis management process. Our emergency plans are reviewed after each drill and leaders from every institution continue to meet regularly with Maj. Gen. (Retired) Stephen Rippe, the foundation's chief operating officer and head of the Cathedral Crisis Action Team, to review and update the plans as needed.
In addition, due to the new and unpredictable threats facing our city and our nation, we are supplied with food, water, and other necessary provisions in the event that your children must remain at school for an extended period of time.
No matter what the situation, rapid communication is important. In the event of an emergency or weather closing, all schools will communicate using e-mail, websites, and hotlines. We will use these methods of communication to inform you about emergency plans and dismissal procedures whenever possible.
