AP Bio Students Make Genetically Modified Organisms

AP Biology students made their own genetically modified organisms (GMOs)! Students inserted a jellyfish gene into bacterial cells, causing the bacteria to glow under UV light. To conduct the experiment, students used a sterile technique to ensure that the bacteria cells were controlled and confined to the lab. The bacteria grew overnight, and the students observed the results on the second day.
