Girls Who Code hosted guest speaker Alexa Schaeffer Quintero, who shared details about her path to becoming a coder. Now a senior technical program manager at Chime, Schaeffer Quintero started off studying social work and then worked in Latin America for five years. As is common for most girl and women coders, her journey is non-traditional, and her experience encompasses at a wide array of organizations, including startups, non-profits, and large corporations.
