Seventh Grade Visits Holocaust Museum

After reading Anne Frank’s Diary of a Young Girl, the Class of 2029 visited the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in early January. The visit was part of an English class unit that explores questions of identity, racism, and bias. Throughout this unit, students also heard from representatives of 3GDC, an organization of grandchildren of Holocaust survivors, read March by John Lewis and speeches by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and added their reflections to a wall in a second-floor hallway of Woodley North.
