St. Albans Summer School Program

Elective lower school courses including: Art (David Sturtevant, STA), Music (Shirley Moore, STA), Summer Science Fair (Jenna Denicola, Fairfax County Public Schools), and Robotics (Luis Deocares, NCS). All of these classes, including academics, are modular, so that families can sign up for two weeks, three weeks, or six-week sessions.

There are more Middle School classes this year. Linda Debord (retired STA), is teaching the prealgebra class, Joe Viola (STA) is teaching the reading and study skills class, and Patrick Spence (Holy Family Academy) is teaching the math 6 and English 6 classes. They are also offering Level I classes in Spanish (Belen de la Pena, former STA), French (Sophie Brenner, STA sub), Latin (Wayne Millan, GWU), and Chinese I (Michael Hurwitz). They also offer an English 7/8 class and writing and grammar 7/9 class, which are both taught by Nathaniel McVey-Finney (Poolesville HS).
