Parent Education Program: Nov. 12

Parent Education Program “Healthy Child, Healthy Student” on Nov. 12
Do your daughter’s food choices contribute to her stress or energy levels, or affect her mood? Why are a growing number of doctors recommending women and girls avoid consuming processed soy? How does stress affect mental health? We will explore these and other related questions at “Healthy Child, Healthy Student: Solutions For Achieving Balance In Your Daughter’s Life” on Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Lower School Assembly Room in Whitby Hall. Parents from all divisions are encouraged to attend.

Experts on sleep, nutrition, stress and childhood development will provide parents with practical solutions to the everyday challenges of raising healthy children.

Our guests will include:
  • Dr. Helene Emsellem, nationally known sleep expert and Medical Director for the Center for Sleep and Wake Disorders
  • Casey Seidenberg, St. Albans parent and Co-Founder of Nourish Schools
  • Dr. Lucy McBride ’91, an experienced internist who has done extensive research on the effects of stress on mental health
  • Dr. Promise Ahlstrom, one of the area’s top pediatricians, who will discuss the hallmarks of development
Please join us on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 6:30 pm to learn how you can help your daughter achieve a more balanced and healthy lifestyle.
